Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) announced new organizational changes on Monday aimed at simplifying its internal structure and improving efficiency, as the company presses forward with its reorganization following the departure of former CEO Carlos Tavares in December.
As part of the restructuring, Stellantis has merged its software and engineering divisions under Chief Engineering and Technology Officer, Ned Curic, the company revealed in a statement.
Additionally, Stellantis has granted more authority to its regional heads in areas such as product planning, development, industrial, and commercial activities.
“These changes will further streamline our organization, enhancing local agility and strengthening our execution,” said Chairman John Elkann, who is overseeing the company during its ongoing CEO search.
Stellantis also unveiled changes to its senior management team. Antonio Filosa, head of North American operations and a potential candidate for the CEO role, will now also serve as the global chief for quality. Filosa has passed on his role as head of the Jeep brand to Bob Broderdorf.
Alain Favey has been appointed as the head of Stellantis’ Peugeot brand.
